The SSSC (https://www.seanseed.org.np) is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:

1. Position: Program Officer (PO) – 1, level 7th, duty station: R&D Station of SSSC at Lamahi – 08, Satabariya, Dang, with frequent field visits

Major responsibilities:

• Oversee project implementation in Dang, Dhading, and Makawanpur districts.
• Lead and manage a team of field technicians (5).
• Develop and implement yield performance trial layouts, and collect and analyze data.
• Serve as the project focal point, ensuring timely reporting and guiding field technicians on trial station management, variety demonstrations, and farmer outreach programs.

Requirements: MSc in Agriculture (Plant Breeding / Agronomy / Biostatistics / Seed science / any relevant field) or BSc (Ag) with experience in crop research and data analysis; proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email); fluency in English and Nepali typing and report writing, preferred a valid driving license holder.

2. Position: Field Technician (FT) – 3, level 5th, duty stations – 3: one each in: Hetaunda, Makawanpur; Nilakantha, Dhading; and R&D Station of SSSC Satabariya, Dang

Major responsibilities:

• Assist the Program Officer with project activities.
• Conduct variety performance trials and manage trial stations.
• Collaborate with farmers for varietal demonstrations.
• Maintain trial records and organize farmer outreach and training sessions.

Requirements: BSc Ag / Diploma in Agriculture with experience / Technical SLC in Agriculture with 5 years of experience; strong report writing and record-keeping skills; a valid driving license preferred.

3. Position: Sales Executive (SE) – 1, level 5th, duty station: R&D Station of SSSC Satabariya, Dang, with frequent visits to seed market centres of Nepal

Major responsibilities:

• Promote SSSC’s hybrid seed varieties, especially in the central and western Terai region.
• Engage with dealers, collect feedback, organize traders' meetings, and execute market promotional activities.
• Utilize ICT for marketing and conduct business trips to boost seed sales.

Requirements: BBS / BBA / BSc in Agriculture with UPA in Agri-economics / any relevant field; strong proficiency in MS Office and reporting; valid driving license preferred.
